Go to your VPS management page in the Console.

Click on the "Network" tab.

Click on "Change IP".

Note: A one-time setup fee of €1.99 applies to this request.

Once the payment is processed, the IP change will begin automatically. You will be notified by email as soon as it's completed.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Get an Infrawire Windows VPS

If you don't have a server yet:

Head over to infrawire.net.
Navigate to the VPS/VDS section in the menu and click on Windows.
Scroll down to choose your preferred plan. All Infrawire Windows plans come with 100% full Administrator access.

Step 2: Open Remote Desktop Connection

You do not need to install any third-party software on Windows, as the tool is built right into your operating system.

Click on your Windows Start Menu or search bar.
Type Remote Desktop Connection (or mstsc) and open the application.

Step 3: Enter Your Server IP Address

In the Remote Desktop Connection window, locate the Computer field.
Copy your VPS IP Address from your Infrawire dashboard or email and paste it here.
Click Connect.

Overview

To protect the integrity of our network and the reputation of our IP ranges, Infrawire blocks outbound SMTP traffic on port 25 by default on all servers. This document explains why this restriction exists, what alternatives are available, and how customers can request an exception through our Paris (France) location.

Why Port 25 Is Blocked by Default

Port 25 is the standard port used for direct, unauthenticated mail relay between mail servers. Because it requires no prior authentication, it is the port most commonly abused by:

Spammers who compromise or rent servers to send bulk unsolicited email
Botnets that use hijacked servers to distribute phishing or malware campaigns
Open relays, misconfigured servers that let any third party send mail through them without authorization

When abuse occurs, the sending IP address (and often the entire surrounding IP range) gets added to public DNS-based blocklists (DNSBLs) such as Spamhaus or SORBS. Once an IP range is blocklisted, all customers hosted on that range — not just the abuser — suffer degraded email deliverability, since major mail providers (Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, etc.) will reject or spam-flag mail originating from listed ranges.

Blocking outbound port 25 by default is a preventive measure that:

Stops automated spam scripts and compromised servers from sending unauthenticated bulk mail
Protects the reputation of Infrawire's shared IP sp

Installation

1. Remove any older versions first

2. Make sure curl is installed

sudo apt-get install curl

3. Grab the latest Speedtest CLI

Note: Speedtest automatically picks a nearby server, which may not be located near your VPS. Since results depend heavily on the server used, always confirm the test is running against a server close to your VPS's actual location — not wherever Speedtest defaults to — otherwise your results may look worse than your real bandwidth.
