- Scroll down to choose your preferred plan. All Infrawire Windows plans come with 100% full Administrator access.
Step 2: Open Remote Desktop Connection
You do not need to install any third-party software on Windows, as the tool is built right into your operating system.
- Click on your Windows Start Menu or search bar.
- Type Remote Desktop Connection (or
mstsc) and open the application.
Step 3: Enter Your Server IP Address
- In the Remote Desktop Connection window, locate the Computer field.
- Copy your VPS IP Address from your Infrawire dashboard or email and paste it here.
- Click Connect.
Step 4: Enter Your Credentials
A prompt will appear asking for your login information:
- Username: Depending on your specific server setup, your username will be either
Admin, admin, orAdministrator. Please verify your delivery email to see exactly which one was assigned to your instance. - Password: Copy and paste the password provided in your dashboard or email.
- Click OK.
Step 5: Accept the Security Warning
The first time you connect, a security certificate warning might pop up. This is completely normal for new remote connections.
- Click Yes to confirm and proceed with the connection.
🔒 Security Best Practice: To keep your server completely secure, we highly recommend changing your default Windows password immediately after your first successful login.
